People often ask me, “What do I do if my piano no longer holds a tune?”
My first suggestion is to tell them to visit the Herrema & Sons Pinterest page for creative ideas on how you could use your piano parts for something unique and different; like a coffee table or book shelf or wine cabinet.
If that’s not your cup of tea, then there’s really no use for the instrument any more and the only other option is to dispose of it. Though this is sad, it’s the reality for these old instruments.
You could take it apart yourself and demolish it, or, take it out back and burn it, or, call Herrema & Sons and have us come remove it. It’s fast and easy and affordable. Our piano removal service is $150, and if your piano has a bench with it we’ll deduct $50 making it only $100.
Here’s a quick video of a day in the life of the Herrema family taking a few pianos to the dump. Watch Anna cry and Jack narrate like a little Ryan SeaCrest in this landfill adventure:)
